James Edward Romance

James Edward Romance, 70, of Waymart passed away Monday December 19, 2016. Jim was born in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1946. He graduated from Waymart High School in 1964. Jim served our country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish with his best friend and cousin Bobby Black. Jim was always the life of the party and could be counted on to make you laugh. He is survived by three children: Jannette Wilcox and her husband Dennis of Beach Lake, PA, Kimberly Romance Christman of Waymart, PA, and Jonathan Romance and his wife Heather of Lackawaxen, PA; step children: Jeffrey Correll of Texas, and Jennifer Correll of Waymart; his wife, Sherry Felton Romance; six sisters: Ruthann Strauser and her husband Leonard of Lewisberry, PA, Rosemary Lamberton and her husband Frank of South Canaan, PA, Betty Monahan of Wilist, CA, Ethel Gorel and her husband Andrew ofHonesdale, PA, MaryLou Gilligbaur and her husband David of Sunbury, PA, and Susan Burke and her husband Wayne of Beach Lake, PA; three brothers: Roger Romance of Yonkers, NY, Edward Bartlow and his wife Gloria of El Paso, TX, Gary Bartlow and his wife Danette of Converse, IN; 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernice Arlene Bartlow (Black) and Andrew Albert Romance, and his step-father, Harold Elston Bartlow.
