Beverly R. Grabill

January 1, 1935 — July 30, 2021

Beverly Grabill passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. Bev was born on February 20, 1935, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Glenn and Clara (Messerschmidt) Roth. She graduated from Leo High School in Leo, Indiana, and attended Fort Wayne Bible College. Bev was married to Noel Grabill on June 3, 1955. After their marriage, Bev and Noel ran her family’s business, the Roth Shell Service Station, in Grabill, Indiana, for several years. She then worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for many years. They celebrated 60 years of loving marriage in 2015, shortly before Noel passed away. Throughout their marriage, Bev and Noel worked tirelessly to help people in need, opening their home in hospitality and carrying a message of hope and faith to people from many walks of life. To the end of her life, Bev was a faithful Christian and a prayer warrior for all generations of her family and her many friends. Bev is remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who lived a life of generous service to those around her and was always ready to share in both the joys and struggles of those she knew and loved. Bev was known for her skills as a homemaker and cook, who always had a full cookie jar for visitors. She loved to read and was also a talented artist and seamstress, creating countless quilts, clothing, and beautiful needlework projects that she shared with family and friends. Beverly was pre-deceased by her husband Noel. She is survived by her brother Larry D. (Janice) Roth. She leaves behind her three daughters Gwyn (Tom) Powers, Kay (Reg) Klopfenstein, and Nayda (Dennis) Miller. Her ten grandchildren are Lisa (Steve) Feldman, Rebecca (Nate) Zaur, Amy (Paul) Smith, and John (Stephanie) Powers; Matthew (Amanda) Klopfenstein and Joshua (Nancy) Klopfenstein; and Rachel Miller, Jennifer Miller, Rebekah (Jeremy) Allison, and Jason Miller. Her twenty-one great-grandchildren are Ted, Lucy, Maggie, and Toby Feldman; Jean, Sophie, Natalie, Noah, and Ezekiel Zaur; Lewis, Irene, Malcolm, Miriam, Benjamin, and Jordan Smith; and Ethan, Timothy, Owen, Lily, Aurora, and Juliet Powers.
